1997 Rolex 16700 Black Insert GMT – Unpolished

Description: The 16700 sits between the 16750 and 16710 and serves as a transitional watch to the modern GMT’s we know today. This reference was right before Rolex introduced a new movement that featured a jumping independent hour hand. The dial and case are in excellent condition and appears unpolished given the sharp bevels still present around the lugs. The dial lume is tritium and has a subtle yellow hue to it. The fat font black insert shows a deep burgundy hue to it which contrasts nicely against the gloss black dial.
