1991 Rolex 16523 Inverted 6 Gold Dial Two-Tone Daytona Unpolished
Description: Two-Tone, Stainless Steel and 18k Yellow Gold. The 16523 Daytona is perhaps the most misunderstood Daytona. While steel models are more popular and gold variants are priced much higher, the two-tone Daytona sits somewhere for those that want something a bit more mature that is familiar yet bucks the trend. The steel variant of the Daytona despite not having any precious metal is priced nearly 30-45% more and although we rarely measure things via the sum of their parts, there is something rebellious going two tone than the universally appreciated all steel models. This example is in amazing condition and due to the early variant, sports an inverted 6 champagne dial. The zenith movement Daytona’s also are some of the most collectable variants as it marks a time where Rolex was unable to provide an automatic chronograph movement better than what Zenith was producing.
