1991 Rolex 14270 Frost Explorer I

Description: If you’ve been following our page you will see some patterns start to develop across Rolex watches from certain years. 1991 was indeed a special year for the manufacturer. There seems to have been some experimental lume that was used towards the late 80’s and into ’91 as the dial colors and variations are pretty drastic some times. In this case, the tritium black dial has developed this frosted type patina across the dial that looks like a topography map. The case is excellent and the lume has a light yellow patina coloring to it. Case still has original case back sticker.
