1982 Rolex 16800 Comex Submariner – Matte Dial

Description:  Mention Comex to any vintage rolex enthusiast and you will have their attention. Perhaps the pinnacle of double named dials, these Submariners were co-developed with French undersea engineering company Comex. Very few of these watches were issued to their divers and of those that were are numbered on the caseback. This specific matte dial 16800 is perhaps an even rarer bird in a sea of exclusive watches. This watch comes with Comex certification of provenance showcasing that the watch was field issued and came from Comex. The case was recently polished and remains thick and even.
