Description: The overlooked sports watch from Rolex is often the 1016 Explorer. This first generation Explorer differs in that it is a 36mm watch which is a bit smaller than the standard 40mm Submariner. What it lacks in size it makes up for in minimalism. This watch is often described as “Everything you need; nothing you don’t” and we feel this adage rings true on this specific MK1 frog’s foot 1016. The coronet is what gives this 1016 its amphibian nickname as it resembles a frog’s foot. Dial shows beautiful yellow lume and the case is in excellent condition with very thick lugs. Could be considered sleeve polished based on thickness and edges.
