Description: The 15716 has been an overlooked Cartier Tank. Officially launched in the early 70’s, this oversized Jumbo (38×28 mm). This style came in 3 variations and all three were rolled Gold over brass. From our understanding the NY variations were made in 14k Gold and only approximately 2500 pieces were made (vs 5000 Paris / 5000 London) . This blue variation is a pre “must de” Cartier variant and is one of the rarer types to be released. The strap has been replaced with a lizard strap. These dials were hand painted in lacquer and this one has remained in excellent condition.
