1970’s Cartier New York Jumbo Blue Tank “Stepped Case” Yellow Gold W/Box & Paper

Description: The 15716 has been an overlooked Cartier Tank. Officially launched in the early 70’s, this oversized Jumbo (38×28 mm). This style came in 3 variations and all three were rolled Gold over brass. From our understanding the NY variations were made in 14k Rolled Gold over Brass and only approximately 2500 pieces were made (vs 5000 Paris / 5000 London) . This blue variation is a pre “must de” Cartier variant and is one of the rarer types to be released. The strap is the original lizard strap with an extra strap in the box. These dials were hand painted in lacquer and this one has remained in excellent condition. Comes as a complete set with extra blue leather strap
