1968 Rolex 1019 Silver Milgauss

Description: The 1019 is not a watch most watch enthusiasts know very well. It is the 2nd generation Milgauss forming years after the introduction of the 6541 Milgauss. Originally conceived to withstand electromagnetic forces up to 1000 gauss, the Milgauss is at home in a lab environment. Technicians and engineers that worked with strong magnetic forces would often have their mechanical watch movements run fast or slow when subjected to these forces. Using a faraday cage Rolex was able to limit these effects on the Milgauss. This example has a stunning brushed silver dial with a pop of light yellow lume.
