Description: The 1016 Matte mk1 dial is often called a Frog Foot dial due to the coronet’s squashed, fat, and spread design. Now that may interest some watch geeks, but what is truly interesting on this generation of 1016’s are that some come with cartoonish fat font numerals. We like to think that the dial maker was a bit more heavy handed after a night of drinking some time in the late 60’s. Whatever the reason, this is a killer 1016 for any collection.
