1966 Rolex 1016 Tropical Explorer I

Description: The 1016 has a cult like following, and the grail version of this reference undisputedly is the tropical variant. But much like everything else, there are levels to tropical dials. This one has  one of the best tropical dials we’ve seen with nearly all even browning throughout the dial. There is a bit of expected patina developing on the edge of the right hemisphere but otherwise all the lume is present and the case appears unpolished with perhaps a sleeve polish. If we were a betting person, this piece will climb in price in the next few years.
