1960 Rolex 5512 Gilt Chapter-ring Submariner

Description: The 5512 Gilt chapter-ring for most series collectors is a grail sub. These are one of the earliest Submariners to sport crown guards and from this generation the guards are pointed instead of rounded. The lume is excellent and sits beautifully against a glossy dial. The gilt text that appears is actually the color of the dial as it is a negative relief. There is one line of silver text which offsets the gilded font on the rest of the watch and provides a great contrast to the look of the watch. Case is in excellent condition as well
