1984 Rolex 16800 Transitional Matte Ghost Submariner

Description: This 16800 is a premium example of a classic neo-vintage Submariner. The Lume plots have aged to a nice creamy color complementing the ghost insert. What makes this example unique and not often seen is the transitional dial and case that the 16800 underwent during this period. The matte dial was a characteristic of the matte dial 1680 that came before this however the new case as well as the sapphire glass is a characteristic of Neo-vintage and modern Rolex watches. This combination brings together the best of both worlds and this configuration existed for an only a couple of years. The case is in great condition, only lightly polished in the past.
