Description: The Red Sub 1680 needs no introduction. This was the first dated sub to be launched under the reference 1680. These had a line of red text for Submariner. This MK6 example has a beautiful dial with intense yellow patina. Insert is a correct MK3 faded ghost insert. Case appears in excellent condition with large sharp bevels. The MK6 sits at the end of the Red Submariner text run and right before the switch to the all white Submariner’s. This example is a hell of a goodbye to this series of Red Sub’s especially given the amazing colors it has developed over the years.
